Jim Rice is an in-training psychotherapist under the supervision of Dr. Travis Mord. Jim completed his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Phoenix. He also holds a Master’s in Pastoral Ministry from the St. Paul Seminary and School of Divinity at the University of St. Thomas and a two-year certificate in Catechetics from the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute. Jim has worked with adolescents and young adults for many years in both urban and rural settings, providing guidance, mentorship, and pastoral support. As a husband and father of three adult children, he brings a grounded perspective to his work, shaped by the joys and challenges of family life. His experiences allow him to connect authentically with clients navigating relationships, transitions, and personal growth. Jim is passionate about creating a relaxed and genuine therapeutic space where clients feel seen, valued, and supported. His counseling style is practical and tailored to meet the client's needs. He seeks to help clients find meaning even in the midst of suffering, and for those who desire it, he thoughtfully integrates faith into the counseling process. His person-centered and trauma-informed approach fosters collaboration, resilience, and a meaningful therapeutic journey.
